睍睆 means either melodious or beautiful in appearance. This line is based
upon language in the fourth stanza of Ode 32 (K'ai Fung, "South Wind") in
Shih
ching, which reads, 睍睆黄鳥、載好其音、有子七人、莫慰母心.

* 大喜田東岳（） 漢学者、名は巌。字は魯瞻。東岳又は泰山と号した。通称大喜多左司馬。佛具屋町北小路南に住し、西本願寺広如上人に仕え御用人を勤め龍谷儒学教授に任ぜられた。詩文をよくし安政六年刊行の淳風同社詩集には序を作り全詩の評をかかげている。（文政十三
